How much does it cost to rent a power bank?

The first 15 minutes are free. After that it's 0.50 JOD per 30 minutes, capped at 3 JOD in any 24-hour period so a long day never turns into a surprise bill. A 3 JOD deposit is held when you rent and released the moment you return. CharZy+ members get the first two hours free every day and skip the deposit entirely.

Do I need to download an app?

No. Scanning the QR code on any station with your phone camera is enough to rent. The app is optional — it adds the live station map, rental history, saved payment methods and CharZy+ perks.

What cables come with the power bank?

Every CharZy bank has USB-C, Lightning and Micro-USB cables built into the body, plus a USB-A port for anything else. You never need to bring your own cable.

How big is the battery?

20,000 mAh, which is roughly four full charges for a modern smartphone, or a full top-up for a tablet with plenty to spare.

Where do I return it?

Any CharZy station anywhere in Jordan, not just the one you rented from. Slide it into any empty slot and billing stops immediately — you'll get a confirmation within seconds.

What if every slot is full when I try to return?

Accepted Answer

Open the app and tap 'Return help'. We'll extend your free window and point you to the nearest station with space. You are never charged for our station being full.

What happens if I don't return it?

A rental runs up to 24 hours, and you get a further 24-hour grace period to bring the bank back. After 48 hours from the start of the rental the bank is treated as lost, the rental closes at a 25 JOD replacement fee, and the bank is yours to keep.

How do I pay?

Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa and Mastercard are all accepted at the kiosk and in the app. We place a small temporary authorisation hold when you rent and release it when you return.

Is it safe for my phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each bank negotiates the correct voltage for your device and carries over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit protection. Cells are tested before every deployment cycle.

Can I get a station for my venue?
